Since I got to know that the terminologies like simulation number, main iteration, etc are slightly different for different algorithms, even though i wanted to do hybrid algorithm, I opted to do it separately. Hence I conducted PSO first and manually used its variable values to start HJ. I have two questions. 1) I specified my number of particles to be 15 but within each generation there are 16 particles. I have 12 variables for the optimization. 2) I tried to search for the purpose of "step size" in PSO algorithm for continuous variables, I could not find one.
