OpenStudio Sketchup plugin automatically fixed window reveal

In the attached IDF file, for window Zn001:Wall001:Win001, I defined a outside reveal of 0.2 m. So that the Y coordinate of the window surface (0.2m) is different from its base surface (0.0m). However, when I import it using the Sketchup Plug in, I get the following warning message:

  Warning:  Zn001:Wall001:Win001
  This sub surface was not in the same plane as its base surface.
  It has been automatically fixed.

Then I export the IDF file from the Sketchup plugin, the Y coordinate of the fenestration surface becomes 0.0m, which is same as the wall surface, which means the reveal definition was lost for the window.

Due to the nature of the SketchUp plug-in this will happen. Are you working with the legacy OpenStudio plug-in that works directly on IDF files or the SketchUp plug-in in the new OpenStudio application suite (works on OSM files and comes with OpenStudio Application, PAT, and ResultsViewer)? If you are working with the legacy plug-in, simply don't open your file in the plug-in after adding window reveals. If you are working with the new OpenStudio plug-in, we have added a feature to the Window Frame and Divider object that will be available in the 1.7.0 installer. We have added a new field to that object so you can draw your windows on their base surfaces and they will be offset when translated from OSM to IDF.
