How to simulate a power outage by overriding Equipment and lighting schedules using actuators.

Hi,

I am trying to simulate a power outage for a single day for my building, to check how much the temperatures rise in the space after the outage. I have turned off the HVAC by modifying the schedule which was previously "On 24/7". I was wondering how I could implement EMS actuators for the lighting and appliances and override the existing schedule for a single day. Has anyone done something similar previously or are there any example files for the schedule actuators that I could refer to?

Why don't you just use the schedules for lighting and equipment to be zero for the "power outage" days?

The lighting and equipment schedules that I have entered in DesignBuilder are in the 24/7 format and not in the compact schedule format. So they have a common format for all weekdays and weekends of the year, and can not be modified for a single day. Using the schedule actuator would probably be my best bet to override the schedule for a single day.
