New plugin for Sketchup 2015 from 1.6.2 developer release

Greetings, I loaded the Developer Release 1.6.2 and have run into a problem getting Sketchup 2015 updated. When I attempt to install the extension from within Sketchup it is looking for a .rbz extension file. I would be grateful for some guidance. Thank you Matt

If you have already installed SketchUp 2015, the OpenStudio 1.6.2 installer should install the necessary plug-in files. It is important to install the 64 bit version of OpenStudio to work with the 64 bit version of SketchUp (or 32 bit with 32 bit) and also to install SketchUp before you install OpenStudio. If you are still having problems see these posts:

SketchUp Pro 2105 Version 15.2.685 64-bit confirmed in the About Sketchup under Help.

OpenStudio Version 1.6.2 could be the 32 bit version but it is stored in C:\Program Files (x86)\OpenStudio 1.6.2 I am not sure how to verify verify the bit version but you must be correct and I have mistakenly placed the 32bit in the 64bit folder.

I will try reloading from the link you sent me previously.

Thank you, Matt

32 bit programs are installed to C:\Program Files (x86)\, 64 bit programs are installed to C:\Program Files. I think you may have installed 32 bit OpenStudio, try installing the 64 bit version.

Dan, You were correct. I switched to the 64 bit and all is working fine. Thank you, Matt

Hello Dan, Open Studio V 1.6.2 has stopped running my models. I am not sure where to start. I have been trying to run previously successful simulations and it will only go to 37% and there is no error. First obvious was to insure weather data was being read. I will see if E+ runs any of the .idf's that were previously created. Can you take a look at my .osm? Thank you, Matt

If you find that you have a version conflict 32 v 64 bit. A Scan For Tools must be run on both PAT and OS after a uninstall - re-install.

If you installed the 1.6.2 installer on your machine it should have automatically updated your SketchUp plugin used. You will have to restart SketchUp to see the changes. To confirm what version you are using go to the "Extensions / OpenStudio / About OpenStudio" menu item. If you don't see 1.6.2 there, let me know and we can look into the issue.

The first thing I would look at is if you have either both 32bit or both 64bit for both SketchUp 2015 and the 1.6.2 isntaller. If you had for example the 64bit SketchUp 2015 but got the 32bit version of OpenStudio 1.6.2 then you would still see the old plugin in SketchUp.
