How to find thermal behavior without ventilation of wall?

Hi,

If we construct a building model in EnergyPlus without ventilation for finidng the thermal behavior of roof and wall then, do we need to consider air network? Please let me know which commands to consider and which I need to omit. Thanks in advance

You can certainly run a model without any ventilation or mechanical system, but I am not sure what would be the benefit of doing so. A model without any HVAC will probably go to extremes. It should be quiet easy to use ideal load air system to simulate a fully capable HVAC system. After doing that you can use E+ output variables to analyze the thermal behavior of roof and wall quiet easily.
