How are the hydronic tubes embedded in low temperature radiant system? (EnergyPlus)

Hi

I'm modelling TABS (Thermally Activated Building Systems) via ZoneHVAC:LowTemperatureRadiant:ConstantFlow in EnergyPlus (EP). Could anyone tell me how the hydronic tubes/pipes are embedded in the system? I can't seem to find this in the EP documentation. Does EP consider the entire floor (finishing, insulation, concrete slab,...) as a whole and does EP put its tubes in the middle? Or does EP put the tubes in the concrete slab? Or something else? Thanks in advance!

The tubes can be embedded between any layers of materials. You specify an integer that indicates where it is in the Construction:InternalSource object that is used with low temperature radiant systems. You might want to also take a look at the example IDF files that start with "RadLoTemp" in the ExampleFiles directory.
