The Add Meter measures just adds data to the EnergyPlus SQL file. You can use DView to view time series outputs. We haven't updated our main documentation site for DView, but it is hi-lighted in the 2.2.0 OpenStudio release notes
You can also use the Meter Flood Plot reporting measure in conjunction with AddMeter to generate an HTML flood plot for 8760 meter values for a simulation.
