Shadings are out of building's geometry in View Data Reportings

Hello,

When I open View Data Reporting the shadings are separated from the building's geometry. I've tried putting them in a Space Name (in Inspector) to see if it works, but it still doesn't. Any idea why this is happening?

I realized in this video you suggested ---> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PlrWE... shadings are connected to the building's geometry, that's the reason for my question. There might be something wrong.

in Building, I typed 158 for the North Axis when I finished the geometry and realized east and west were inverted. Is it possible to correct? Does that interfere in the simulation temperature results?

@Elissa, you can change the building rotation value as often as you like, yes change rotation will impact simulation results. Also keep in mind a different behavior with building shading and site shading. Building shading rotates with the building, site shading does not.

Right. But how can I fix the shadings by seeing them attatched to the building's geometry in View Data Reporting Measure? I'm afraid the results did not consider the shadings attatched to the building. What do you think? All those shadings you see on the left side are walls (that belong to the site, that separate the house site from the neighbours' sites) and the others are eaves that belong to the building's geometry itself.

There is an issue in the measure with non zero building rotation? did you have 180 degree rotation?

according to the North orientation of the building I changed the North Axis as suggested before. What I need to know is: 1._how can I put the shadings back to the geometry in the View Data Reporting Measure? 2._did the simulation cosider the shadings if I see them far from the building in View Data Reporting Measure? I mean, can I trust the results even after seeing shadings separated from the geometry in VIew Data Reporting Measure while, in the model, they are attached to the geometry?

@Elissa, please open your model in the OpenStudio SketchUp Plugin to confirm if your shading surfaces are modeled as expected. Don't rely on this measure if you have non zero building rotation and shading surfaces.

In the OpenStudio SU Plugin the shadings seem to be corret (attatched to the building geometry). The problem is when I open the View Data Reporting Measure, that all the shadings are separated from the geometry. In the OpenStudio SU Plugin, when I enter Inspector and click in "OS SurfaceShadingGroup", in the tab "Direction of Relative North", it is written 0 or -0 (depending on the shading group I click). Should I change it to the same value configured in Building > North Axis > 158? Does that seem to be the issue?

@Elissa, no changes necessary to your model re shading rotation. It is fine, there is just an issue with the reporting measure. You also have the option to rotate specific surface groups to a different value than the building rotation. You don't want to do that in your case.

Thanks a lot. But, does this issue with the measure (the fact that the shadings do not appear attatched to the building's geometry) interfere in the result temperatures I got in Results Viewer and in the measure itself? Can I trust them?
