Baseline system 4 performance

I'm modeling a baseline building system 4 with 90.1-2007. I do not understand what performance to set. I've been looking into table 6.8.1B, where you have to choose between the source, the type and the power. I chose Air condensed single package system. Is 6.8.1B the right table?

Then I have to choose the performance based on the size of the coil: I find the range 19 kW to 40, 40 kW to 70 kW or more than 70 kW.

What if the size is lower than 19 kW? What cop should I use? The only size below 19 kW is reported as a SCOP (not cop).

See G3.1.2.1 Equipment Efficiencies. Then yes, Table 6.8.1B is right.

I don't have a copy of the SI guide handy, but in the IP for Air cooled (heating mode), Single Package, there's an < 65,000 BTU/h (< 19 kW) that expresses it as an HSPF (that should be SCOP in SI):

6.6 HSPF (before 1/23/2006) 7.7 HSPF (as of 1/23/2006)

If you can get your hands on a copy of ASHRAE 90.1-2013, official conversion for energy modeling from HSPF/SEER to COP/EER are finally provided in G3.1.2.1, as well as the formulas for extracting fan power from efficiency ratings.

Yes, it's exactly what I meant.

In that section I have: Air cooled (heating mode) - <40 kW (cooling capacity) - 1,93 SCOPh (before 1/23/2006) or 2,25 SCOPh (as of 1/23/2006)

I will look for a copy of 2013, I hope I can find the formulas.

Thank you!
