Surface error in energyplus & sketchup

I am new to energyplus, and I am unable to understand what this error is. Can you help?

The error is as follows.

GetSurfaceData: Construction INTERIOR WALL of interzone surface B181FE does not have the same number of layers as the construction EXTERIOR WALL of adjacent surface 79CCC7.

Please add more info. Are you using OpenStudio? Is this a fatal error? Please post the full original error/warning code. Assuming you are using OpenStudio, it sounds like you have two adjacent surfaces that have different constructions applied. If you are using Space Types and Construction Sets, there could be a conflict in the inherited construction. It also sounds odd that you have a Interzone surface with an Exterior Wall construction on it. Exmaine the problem surface in Sketchup. Have you applied the correct Boundary Conditions ? Are the surfaces matched correctly?

Hi @saravanan17

It looks like the following surfaces are adjacent and are matched B181FE (construction: INTERIOR WALL) and 79CCC7 (Construction: EXTERIOR WALL).

Since surface 79CCCC7 is adjacent to another wall, I presume an incorrect construction has been applied to it. You can change the construction of this wall to INTERIOR WALL and try running the model again.

In general - for adjacent surfaces, the constructions layers need to be symmetric at the line of separation.
