how to build EnergyPlus IDF file in Google SketchUp?

Hey All, I try to build the geometry of a building in SketchUp and then convert it into EnergyPlus(for thermal zone, construction, etc only) without HVAC system. Previous i used the SketchUp2013 and Legacy OpenStudio Plugin 3 years ago. However, the SketchUp changed so much and older software are no longer available. It seems NREL no longer supports the Legacy OpenStudio Plugin. I tried the latest one: Euclid. Quite confusing on how to use it.
Plus the Youtube videos are all about old version software. Anyone can give some help? Thanks.

Hi All! I am in a similar situation! meaning it is too difficult to follow the tutorials by Big Ladder. first of all, I don't know why it takes more than 1 min to select any object in SketchUp! any thought, what could be wrong?! second: I can not find basic tools such as object info tool! appreciate any advise you could offer.Thanks -FN

Euclid IS the Legacy OpenStudio Plugin. It is the only way (that I'm aware of) to create an EnergyPlus IDF file directly in SketchUp.

Big Ladder now maintains this software under the new name. Nothing has changed in how it is used, but a few improvements have been made. What have you found confusing about how to use it that is different from your experience with the Legacy OpenStudio Plugin?
