Hello, In Surface Search, in the OS plug-in, why are all search options except "Construction" grayed out? I can't search by type, outside boundary condition, sun or wind exposure.

Once you pick a class type it will enable the appropriate fields. For example "Surface" can use all fields, but "SubSurface" doesn't have access to some fields, since they inherit those properties from their parent surface.
actually, it turns out that when i first click on the surface search icon, the menu that pops up (not full screen) has all the options i mentioned in my original question grayed out. but when i maximize that menu to full screen or increase its size, the menu looks more like the one you have shown above.
