measures for calibration to actual data 2017

My lab is trying to start calibration of Openstudio models to utility consumption data. I just noticed an updated FY 2017 roadmap (http://nrel.github.io/OpenStudio-user...) which has "Measures for calibration of models to actual data" as a feature under Openstudio 2.3.

Are these planned measures going to be a replacement or improvement on the older Openstudio analysis spreadsheet? Can anyone provide any more information on what these calibration measures would entail? Thanks

Those measures will be usable by the spreadsheet or (better) in PAT 2.x. We'll be refining the measures we currently use to calibrate models and adding some new ones (e.g. parameterized schedules) so that you can open up a canned project, add your seed model and consumption data, and go. The NREL Site Entrance Building example projects contain the starting point for those measure sets, ranges, and algorithm settings. They are equivalent to the old spreadsheet-based problems located here. We encourage new users to work in PAT, as it's much easier to make data entry errors in the old spreadsheets.

Thank you Larry. Thank you Brian. I'll go through the Site Entrance Building examples and give PAT 2 a try.

Time series calibration measures would be great!
