occupancy level in designbuilder

How can I determine occupancy level(one person or two person etc)in designbuilder activity table?There is a density people statement,but I can not understand how many person determined from it?

You are correct, under the Activity tab in DesignBuilder you can set an occupant density (people/ft2, etc.) and a schedule to modify the occupancy over the simulation. To see the total number of peak occupants, you will need to do a little bit of work. One option in DesignBuilder is to add the Input Verification and Results Summary report from the Simulation tab of the Model Options dialog (see below).

The Zone Summary table at the end of that report will then show you floor areas and peak occupant density for each zone (see below). You can then multiply those two values together to calculate total peak occupant count.

You may also be interested to know that the latest Beta version (v5.1) includes a new Model Option (called "Occupancy method") under the "Gains" header that allows you to select either People/area, area/person or number of persons. The latter will enable you to specify the maximum number of people (subsequently varied by your occupancy schedule) in each zone directly with any post-processing. If you wish to enrol as a Beta tester please contact the Support Desk.
