material surface temperature [closed]

Hello Guys,

Can anyone help me how can I get the surface temperature of different layers (roof) in EnergyPlus? Should I write a measure for that? I am not familiar with measure and I do not know how to write a measure and how to use it in energyplus or openstudio.

Thank you so much for your considerations.

In EnergyPlus (and OpenStudio) you can report the surface temperature of the inside or outside face of a construction, but I don't believe you can report out temperatures between specific layers of a construction, but someone please correct me if I am wrong. I think this came up in the past with someone wanting to look at vapor drive characteristics of the construction assembly.

Thank you so much for your answer. I found that in openstudio for inside and outside surface temperature but I cannot find for EnergyPlus. Could u let me know where are the results in EnergyPlus? In Openstudio I see the results with resultviewer but I do not know with EnergyPlus.

Thanks a lot

@Milad, there is a very similar question with some suggested solutions here. There is also a post about generating EnergyPlus output variables here. If these don't provide enough help, I can open this question again.
