Are there descriptions for what each output variable in the .rdd file includes?

It would be nice to have descriptions for all the variables but for example, the output variables named "Facility Total Building Electric Demand Power", "Facility Total HVAC Electric Demand Power", and "Facility Total Electric Demand Power" will probably have some overlap. I would like to know what is included in these variables so that I can work with specific combinations of electric power.

Thank you,

Ryan

The descriptions of what each variable means are listed in the Input Output Reference documentation.

The variables you mention are outputs from ElectricLoadCenter:Distribution (docs).

Facility Total Building Electric Demand Power [W]

This output variable includes all of the electric demand from the building (non-HVAC) portion of the simulation, which would contain lights, electrical equipment, exterior lights and equipment, etc.

Facility Total HVAC Electric Demand Power [W]

This output variable includes all of the electric demand from the HVAC portion of the simulation, which would contain fans, electric coils, pumps, chillers, cooling towers, etc.

Facility Total Electric Demand Power [W]

This is the total of the whole Building and HVAC electric demands.

I have a question regarding the Facility Total HVAC Electric Demand Power [W]. Will it include the electric load that the pumps that would be in a plant loop in the value as well as the items in the AHU such as fans, humidifiers, etc. If you have any insight on this that would be extremely helpful.

I think that deserves its own question.
