Why does OpenStudio 2.x freeze after I add a new measure?

I'm using the OpenStudio App and downloaded a new measure from the BCL. When I close the measure window the App freezes up. What am I doing wrong and how do I fix it?

This is a known bug, but it has a simple workaround. Hit Ctrl-M (Cmd-M on Mac) to bring up the Apply Measure Now dialog. The App will prompt you to save your model before proceeding. Just hit cancel and things will be back to normal.
