Force EnergyPlus Output Meter to Include Year?

The standard outputs I've seen only have month and day in the date, but for longer, multi-year runs (particularly for M&V) it's nice to have a full date/time stamp that includes the year (which the simulation clearly knows because it gave me errors until the years matched in the EPW and the RunPeriod:CustomRange object. Is there a way to force this through to the outputs?

You can create a custom EMS output variable using the built-in Year variable. It will be a separate column in your output, but at least it will appear somewhere.

Keep in mind that if you are using a TMY weather file the year value will jump around for each month and probably won't be very useful.

Thanks Neal, yea that would work. I was hoping that there was a more native way to do it. I'm using multi-year AMY files so the years actual matter in this case.
