I would like to use an Inorganic PCM that we will encapsulate using a polymer for water cooling. Any suggestion for a good PCM and a software for simulating results.

We need the water to be cooled to 4 degrees from 50 degrees. In district cooling application

You can try PCM Express from Valentin Software for your initial run. It’s a free software with a comprehensive PCM database. link text

For the full system with PCM and water cooling you can use either EnergyPlus or Trnys. Trnsys has a separate module for PCM. link text
