Apply Measure Now - Measure Output reporting info

Is it possible to review at a later date the Apply Measure Now - Measure Output reporting information? Ie. I cannot find a way to save the reporting information or even copy/paste out to review later when applying measures.

This is not needed for simple measures, but for the DOE reference building and create 90.1 baseline building measures it would certainly help in troubleshooting and in verifying the measure output step by step.

Thanks, Nic

The 'Create Baseline Building' measure at least has an argument "Show debug messages?" that, if checked, should write a text file of the measure output. I believe it is saved to the same directory that contains the osm.

Thanks Eric. I did see that that particular measure has the capability, but for other intensive measures, it would be nice to simply copy/ paste the text out of the measure screen instead of relying on measure authors to provide that functionality each and every time. Just my opinion.

I agree, and there has been an issue posted to request this (but I wouldn't expect anything in the short term). As a kludgy workaround you could always print the screen and save as an image to refer to later.

That was my plan B as well. I only need to review one measure, so I will just mumble and gripe for the meantime. Thanks again.

Instead printing the screen you should be able to copy and paste if you go to "Advanced Output". Another solution would be to use add the measure to the workflow on an empty model, if you have 3-4 measures you typically run to start a model, put them all there. Then when you run that simulation you will have a log of all the measure argument values and messages. If you need to hand edit vs. just run more measures use a SaveAs to leave original file and logs in tact. This will be much cleaner in OpenStudio 2.0 where an OSW file vs describe the workflow and outcome nicely.
