Difficulting saving changes to OpenSpace model

I created the basic framework of a model on SketchUp v 16.1.1449, and used OpenSpace v 1.11.0 to edit construction, loads, etc...

Each time I make any changes to the OpenSpace model, none of my edits are saved. All I am doing is going to File > Save. Is there some additional trick or location where the file is saving? There is another folder in the directory that is named the same as the model file, but it doesn't look like the model file is in there.

Please help, thanks!

Make sure you use the Save button on the OpenStudio toolbar as shown on this PDF vs. SketchUp's File>Save menu.

You generally need only the OSM file, and don't have to save an SKP file.

This helps create/save an OSM file from a model that's already in SketchUp. However, I mean that any changes that I make in OpenStudio itself (not just the SketchUp plugin) are lost when I save the OSM file. A folder with the same filename looks like it's updated, but I can't open any of those to get to the updated model.

If you make a model named "MyModel.osm" a folder will also be made named "MyModel". That is to hold weather files, measures, and simulation results. The "OSM" file sits next to that directory, not within the directory.

When I make any changes to the model, the folder timestamp is the only item that is updated and modified, not the OSM file. Is it possible that the OSM file is being linked to the SketchUp SKP, and so I can't make any changes to the OSM file by itself? If so, how can I configure such that I can edit the OSM model file directly as needed?
