When you load the model in the SketchUp Plugin, is it crashing there, or do you mean that even after re-saving in SketchUp you still get a crash in the measures tab in the stand alone OpenStudio application?

There is normally a directory next to your OSM file with the same name as your OSM file. I'm wondering if something correupted within that directory. Try this.

1. Quit SketchUp and any OpenStudio applications
2. Rename the directory so if it is "MyModel" call it "MyModel_temp"
3. Launch the OpenStudio Application and see if you still see the RTTI error.

OpenStudio will re-create a clean copy of that directory when you open and re-save the OS. You will have to re-link the weather file, and re-add any measures. If this is the issue, then we may have you send us a zip of the OSM file and the bad directory so we can see why that happened.

I fixed it. What I did was:

1) opened an older version of the model in open studio

2) did a "save as" with a new file name

3) exited open studio

4) opened the new model's .osm file in notepad, selected all, deleted all text to make it blank

5) opened the corrupted model's .osm file in notepad, selected all, copied all text, and then pasted the copied text of the corrupted model into the new blank text file.

6) Saved the new text file and close the text files

7) Open the new model in openstudio, and waalaaa! it no longer crashes.

Hopefully there will not be any other effects of doing this (like losing any of my modeling changes).

Making a copy of the corrupted file in the file location (not through Openstudios) and re-naming that copy also works.

It's probably related to copying your measures from another model into the scripts folder - were the OSMs both 1.5.0?

To reset the scripts folder copy the OSM file and paste it to another location which will permanently delete the measures associated with the model.
