Zone multipliers and hardsized capacities in EnergyPlus

I'm using zone multipliers. Say zone A and B are exactly the same. Zone A is conditioned with a 10,000 BTU cooling system.

If I model Zone A only and apply a zone multiplier of two, what will I need to input as far as Nominal Cooling Capacity for my cooling system? 10,000 BTU or 20,000 BTU?

I'd say 20,000 BTU. From the I/O: "It takes the calculated load for the zone and multiplies it, sending the multiplied load to the attached HVAC system. The HVAC system size is specified to meet the entire multiplied zone load and will report the amount of the load met in the Zone Air System Sensible Heating or Cooling Energy/Rate output variable.

Agreed. This has been my experience with hard-sized models of proposed designs.
