How to create thermostat

What are my options for creating a custom ThermostatSetpoint:DualSetpoint that I can access from the SketchUp plugin and assign when using the Space Attributes Button ?

I'd prefer not to write a measure, or otherwise get down and Ruby.

Skp dual thermostat.PNG

The object I am trying to create is a ThermostatSetpoint:DualSetpoint which references the heating and cooling setpoints.

This object doesn't seem to be visible in the OS App,nor the OS Inspector is that right? That seems to rule out editing an existing one from a library and also baking my own (without getting down to the Ruby). So I am curious how the building type templates in the New Model wizard are created and managed ?

First, make sure you've created thermal zones and assigned some spaces to them (in sketchup). Then, save the model and open it in the OpenStudio Application. Navigate to the Thermal Zones tab. You can drop heating and cooling setpoint schedules into the grid view.

You can also create a new custom thermostat - vs. using an imported one from the Library - in the Schedules tab.
