Make changes on the attributes of materials

Hello guys,

In my model the external wall has a "colored plaster layer". but I could not find in the BCL. then I decided to make some changes on the attributes of "Gypsum board' to consider the effects of "colored plaster".

image description image description

For example the thermal absorptance, Solar absorptance, and maybe conductivity should be changed, But I do not know which numbers for them could be in somehow near to the reality.

Thanks in advance for any suggestion.

You can look for material properties online, or in the ASHRAE Handbook of Fundamentals. Since your plaster layer is pretty thin, it may be more important to focus on changes to surface properties such as Roughness, Thermal Absorptance and Solar Absorptance, instead of focusing on changes to Conductivity, Density, and Specific Heat.

If you aren't going to add 3mm to the gypsum board, then you may wan to make a copy of that material for the exterior wall, with the thickness adjusted to 18mm along with the changes to surface properties.

@David Goldwasser, Thank you David for your answer, exactly as you said and I am agree with you, I have to change surface properties such as Roughness, Thermal Absorptance and Solar Absorptance.
