Energyplus Output [closed]

Hi,

The model running period is set to start from Jan 1 till Dec 31, but the generated spreadsheet only gives this: simdays=1 simdays=1 simdays=1 simdays=1 simdays=1 simdays=1 simdays=1 simdays=365 as the results when the 'running period' is selected under reporting frequency under output:variable.

When the 'montly' is selected it starts with July 21 and Jan 21 before getting to normal. Also The Energy+ is generating other outputs that I am not selected.

I have checked everything, but can't find any problem.

As I can't upload the file... Any suggestion would be appreciated. such as what should I check.

How to get the points to upload the idf.file?

Appreciated for the help!

July 21 and January 21 are probably designs days.

You just have to select the Reporting Frequency you want for each Output:Variable. RundPeriod is the same as Annual in your case, probably not what you want. No problem with other values: monthly will give you one point per month, hourly will give one point per hour and so on.

Also, be sure to check the right .csv file ("your_idf_name".csv). E+ may creates other .csv that you don't need.

Thanks for the reply!!

I have sorted the running period problem :)

About the .csv. Maybe I am entirely blind but I don't see any .csv file.. Is it a seperate file that is generated after the simulation? And in the .csv file I can select the output results I want?

If you put at least one output in Output:Variable, EnergyPlus will create a .csv, after you run the simulation. It may also creates other .csv (with slightly different names) depending on what you have in your model (HVAC...).

The .csv will contain all the outputs requested in Output:Variable, with the requested timestep.
