site energy vs source energy on Openstudio
i need to understand why the source energy is more than the site energy although i've no energy generation system on site!!

Source energy does not mean energy generated at the building. Rather, it is the total amount of energy consumed upstream (at power plants, etc.) to produce the energy used on site by the building. See, for example, https://www.energystar.gov/buildings/... for more information.

Just a short riff. Site energy is energy used at the site. Source energy is the corresponding energy generated at the power plant, which is relevant because it corresponds to CO2 emissions. Source energy will always be greater than site energy as a result of transmission losses. This isn't an OpenStudio thing, it's a centralized power generation and distribution thing.
