Is it possible to use the "Ideal Air Loads" in tab "Thermal Zone" instead of defining an HVAC-system, if calculating only for room temperature and surface temperatures in a room using OpenStudio?

I want to calculate the room temperature during a year in a room, so to speak a thermal indoor climate analysis (i don't care about energy use), and I think the HVAC-system-tab/air-loop-settings in OpenStudio is too advanced for my case - So is it possible to instead just use the "Ideal air loads"-button? Does anybody have a bad experience with this?

The ideal loads setting hooks up a "magical" district heating and cooling system that maintains space temperature set points, so it really won't let you see any sort of space temperature dynamics or unmet hours. It's useful for getting a sense of overall heating and cooling loads as a function of envelope, loads/schedules, weather conditions, etc. but it's not designed to do what I think you're asking for.
