My building has two AHU's bringing in fresh air, and then a FCU serving each room, is there an easy way to get this into my model? Is there an example building I can download to see how they made this scenario work? Thanks.

Is the AHU a DOAS?

In OpenStudio you can apply the Four Pipe Fan Coil More Design Parameters measure to your model using the following steps:

  1. Measures > Find Measures on BCL

  2. Search HVAC category for "fan coil", download, and close window

  3. Components & Measures > Apply Measure Now [CTRL-M]

Alternatively, you can download the measure directly from the BCL, extract, and put it in your My Measures directory (Preferences > Change My Measures Directory).

See the OpenStudio documentation for more information about measures.

will I still need to apply stuff to the correct thermal zone? Will I be able to drag some zones to one AHU and the others to the other AHU? Same with the FCUs?

It should set up everything for you so your model will be ready to run. You may need to reconfigure a bit depending on your use. Instead of dragging/dropping zone you can click the vertical bar/path going to the supply (zone) side of the air loop which will show a list of all zones in the right pane to check/uncheck.

Make sure your model has a DDY file in addition to the EPW file.
