ReadVarsEso - exporting to a spreadsheet

Hi! I need to use OpenStudio output results to create my own graphs using a spreadsheet(Excel). At the moment I need do extract temperature data for each division of my building for one week of my running period with 1 hour time step. I read some similar doubts and it seems that for this purpose ReadVarsEso is used. Can you tell me step by step how can I use ReadVarsEso? I installed EnergyPlus but I’m not figuring out how I can do this. Do I have to re-run the input file created by OpenStudio with EnergyPlus? Is ReadVarsEso the best solution or there are more practical ways to do this?

Please refer to InputputOutput Reference (link here) for information about using ReadVarsESO.

If the simulation is run via EP-Launch utility, that automatically runs ReadVarsESO and creates the output csv file provided input file has output:variable object/s in it. *.rvi file ensures that created output csv file has output variables in the order user wants them to be. There are many example files which also have .rvi files.

Thank you for your answer Chandan Sharma. I'm running my project via OpenStudio. I have to make a lot of simulations because my goal is to find my building optimal setpoints, so it won't be very practical to execute my project using OpenStudio and E+. Is there another way to send my OpenStudio output data to a spreadsheet? Thank you

I haven't used OpenStudio much so far. If it creates eplusout.eso for simulation then double clicking ReadVarsESO would create eplusout.csv provided both are in the same directory.
