The Definition of Radiance Parameters in OpenStudio

Does anyone know where I can find the definition of each Radiance parameter in OpenStudio including Direct Threshold, Direct Certainty, Direct Jitter, etc.?

You can find the meanings of these parameters in the Radiance man pages, which are distributed with Radiance and also happen to be online. For instance, the man page for rtrace is here:

http://radsite.lbl.gov/radiance/man_h...

In this file, you will find the definitions of the parameters Direct Threshold (-dt), Direct Certainty (-dc), Direct Jitter (-dj), and others.

If the descriptions there don't provide you with enough detail, you may want to refer to the book Rendering with Radiance for more information.

More information is available in the back chapters of the book Rendering with Radiance. I sell copies.

I have copies for US$35 + shipping + handling. I ship globally.

I also have a few misprints (the printer left out the Greek letters, trashing much of the math, but you can still learn how to run a simulation from them) that I am remaindering for US$12 each, including shipping, within the USA. (It's just not worth shipping those internationally.)

Truth in marketing: there will eventually be a free PDF (sometime, I am determined, in 2016), but don't hold your breath.
