Lower Temperature Radiant Variable Flow [closed]

Hi all,

I am trying to model some infloor radiant heating and have a questions regarding the links. When I drag the equipment onto the zone and look at its properties, there is 2 links. One for cooling and heating. The infloor heat I am trying to model is only used for heating, so I link that to my hot water loop. For the cooling section of the device what should I be setting all the values too? I assume the maximum cold water flow should be 0, and then can I just not apply a link to the "cooling coil"? Or would it be better to implement a different type of equipment to simulate the infloor radiant heating.

It should be mentioned I am working in OpenStudio

Thanks @Waseem. This post definitely helped I appreciate it. What if I have panels that are attached near the exterior edge of the building along the ceiling. I think I should be using a Baseboard radiant panel. Is that how you would suggest implementing this element?

@Dustin: you are welcome. I have edited my question and added a figure. Is that what you are trying to model and mentioned in your comment? If your answer is yes, then yes that's how you will model it.

Yes that is what I am looking to model. They are around the exterior edges of the rooms though.

I don't know how close they are, you can add a (very) small gap between the panel and edge. If the panels you are modelling are hanging ones, then you have to create another surface as a roof\ceiling inside your zone.

Yeah. When I was thinking about it, they are still going to radiate energy the same way. I will try running with the baseboard radiant panel and see what happens. Thanks again, so much.
