csv to epw conversion

I need to modify an epw weather file, therefore I converted it into csv using the Energy Plus converter and made my adjustments. However, when I try to convert it back to epw using the same tool I get a list of errors and the output are just a .stat file and a .audit file. No epw is created. What should I do to have the epw file? Unfortunately I am new to these topics and I don't have enough points to upload a screen shot of the errors. Thanks for the help

If your overall objective is to modify an EPW file, one possibility that might be easier is to work with is to use the Elements weather file processor. As a disclaimer, I am one of the developers of Elements. Elements is free and open-source software.

The tool allows you to directly open an EPW file, make your changes, and save the file again.

I am experiencing the same problem, only I am starting with a csv file and converting to epw (rather than trying to edit the epw). How would you solve this problem? Should I post a new question with my csv and audit files?

Using the E+ weather converter, if you start with an epw, convert to csv, modify csv, then convert back to epw is rather easy.

When I try to convert from csv back to epw, a popup says "Custom file types must have associated def file". click OK, then click Override Default Type and select EnergyPlus Weather (EPW) format. Then pick EnergyPlus Weather (EPW) format again and choose the file name to save as.

I did as RRAUSTAD said, but when I press "convert file" it says "errosr occurred in processing....", then it gives me only a .stat and .audit useless files... What should I do to convert this CSV file to a EPW file?
