Install OpenStudio plugin for SketchUp 2014 for Windows

I have been using OS1.4 with SketchUp 8 so far. Now I downloaded OSv1.5 and SketchUp 2014 in order to start using the latest version.

I first installed SketchUp 2014. Then installed OSv1.5, but I keep getting this message "Unable to locate your SketchUp 2014 installation. If you wish to use the OpenStudio SketchUp plug-in, please download and install SketchUp now, the OpenStudio Google SketchUp plug-in will launch automatically when you start SketchUp."

When I start SketchUp, I cant see the OS plugin. On accessing Window -> Warehouse Extension, SketchUp takes me to the OS website.

Is there any other way to install the OS plug-in ?

Hi @deepa, I'm not sure if you are the same person that asked this question on the legacy OpenStudio SketchUp Plug-in mailing list (this question is actually more appropriate here). In any case, make sure to install the 32 bit version of OpenStudio, SketchUp 2014 is a 32 bit program and will only work with 32 bit OpenStudio.

SketchUp 2015 is available in 32 and 64 bit versions, OpenStudio 1.5.0 will only work with the 32 bit version. The installer for OpenStudio 1.5.0 was made before SketchUp 2015 was released so to install 32 bit OpenStudio 1.5.0 with 32 bit SketchUp 2015, simply copy all the files in "C:\Program Files (x86)\OpenStudio 1.5.0\Ruby\Plugins" to "C:\ProgramData\SketchUp\SketchUp 2015\SketchUp\Plugins" (check here to see location for all platforms).

OpenStudio 1.6.0 will work with either the 32 or 64 bit version of SketchUp 2015 but you will still have to match the architecture with your OpenStudio install (e.g. install 32 bit OpenStudio to work with 32 bit SketchUp).

Dan, Thanks for your reply. I had installed the correct versions of the both SketchUp and OpenStudio.

Later, I uninstalled both programs and installed them back in the sequence suggested on the OpenStudio website. And it worked.. SketchUp detected the OpenStudio plugin and loaded the tool bar.
