The Heat pump water heater in Energyplus, Accept the Zone, Outdoor only, zone and outdoor, and scheduled as the input air node. In my model I have PVT which works as preheating. How can I connect the outlet node of PVT to HPWH, as its not the outdoor ,zone or scheduled?

I think you would have to use EMS. The PVT would need a dummy air handler connected to a dummy zone to get it to run. Then an EMS sensor on System Node Temperature would detect the temperature leaving the PVT and an EMS actuator would set the value of either a schedule value or an outdoor air node's temperature.
Thats really smart. I will try it today.Thank you. Currently I am producing the pvt outlet temperature out of E+ and using them as a schedule for heat pump inlet.
