How to model multiple buildings served by a common chiller plant?

There are multiple blocks undergoing the LEEDv4 campus certification on a site. 3 separate buildings in that campus are served by the common chiller plant located within the campus but as a separate building. Are we supposed to model the district cooling and heating in both design and baseline case or the actual HVAC system in design and baseline as per the AppG.

Also do we need to consider the district cooling and heating consumption for the savings percentage or can we calculate the savings without the district cooling and heating consumption.

Hello, I think of LEED and ASHRAE comparisons in terms of proposed and baseline (regardless of the existing conditions). The baseline HVAC system is defined by ASHRAE table G3.1.1-3 and -4 and it will specify the HVAC system for each building based on activity type, # of floors, and area.

Now, I'm not familiar with "campus certification" but I would assume the district cooling and heating would not be included in the baseline, as the baseline HVAC system is defined by ASHRAE, which does not include a campus category.

It is my opinion that you should include the energy consumption of the heating and chiller plants for the proposed model.
