Failed to launch altogether, not halfway through. An excerpt of the generated "eplusout.err" file (when running the IDF with either EPW file):

 **   ~~~   ** You must run the ExpandObjects program on this input.

As mentioned elsewhere (e.g. here and here), you need to first run the Basement preprocessor program.
