This used to be the link to the EnergyPlus Example File Generator (EEFG) which was discontinued a long long time ago. I just removed that from the Getting Started documentation actually (cf PR#7666)

The EnergyPlus example files are a great place to start too.

Several third party tools can help you build more specific energyplus models if that's what you need and the built-in IDF Editor isn't suiting your needs, such as BEOpt, OpenStudio, as well as other commercial software.
