I know it worked when BIMserver was at 1.3.4 and OpenStudio was at 1.7.1 as shown on this tutorial. It is possible that changes to BIMserver and or OpenStudio broke the workflow. You may want to contact someone with BIMDataHub GIMDataHub or the Consortium for Building Energy Innovation. You could also try going back to the last 1.x version of OpenStudio which is OpenStudio 1.14.0, it might work even if 2.x versions do not.
