Weirdly, Weirdly I found that the radiance simulation would work after clearing my C:\Temp directory and copying only the .osm file to a different location without the corresponding file folder that is automatically created when saving an openstudio model. If I do this when I receive an error similar to the one mentioned in the question the simulation will run.
