I go by the CBECS data and they have end use breakdown for quite a few building types. http://www.eia.gov/consumption/commercial/data/2012/. Choose 2003 under the DATA tab. http://buildingsdatabook.eren.doe.gov/ has some data (not sure if it is same as cbecs)
